The Jewish Festival of Lights, lasting eight nights. Commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Each night, a candle is lit on the menorah. Traditional foods include latkes and sufganiyot (doughnuts) fried in oil. Dreidel games and chocolate coins (gelt) are traditional.
